Turmeric milk aka golden milk is an Indian drink that is becoming super popular! It is known for its many health benefits including anti- inflammatory benefits & immunity.

BENEFITS OF GOLDEN MILK INGREDIENTS

turmeric - curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has anti-inflammatory effects and is a very a strong antioxidant.

cinnamon - helps balance blood sugar.

ginger - supports proper digestion.

black pepper - can help support the absorption of curcumin (which is in turmeric.)

coconut oil - can help improve bacteria and gut health by destroying bad bacteria, improves digestion and helps the body absorb fat soluble vitamins such as calcium to support healthy bones.

honey - raw honey is full of natural prebiotics that promote the growth of good bacteria in the intestine. It is also known to ease sore throats.

Tips:

Heat is said to increase the solubility of curcumin (the primary active constituent in turmeric)

Turmeric is fat-soluble and thus much better absorbed when taken with fat (coconut milk & oil)
